look at my eyes
they reflect nothing
pondering on things
about things
i sit on them
thinking, hoping
light would sting
my eyes
spark anew
something
or at least one thing
ushering
new things stirring
in my being
but alas
i sit still waiting
wasting
in this, my darkest of my nights
no light peering
not even a glimmer
of anything
